    Hi Savannah,

One thing is certain, he needs you more than ever in such time in his life, he just hasn’t realized it yet.

He might be unconsciously destroying the relation due to the possible fear you may one day leave him. Or maybe it’s just the emotional pain he’s going through. However, that gives him no right to treat you wrong.

Give him a bit more time. If nothing changes, put your foot down and express your feelings to him as best you can.

It is unfortunate what happened, but it’s not your fault and you don’t deserve to suffer for the rest of your life. You’ve been pushed away, your desire to help turned down, nothing much more you can do for now.

    Stay strong.

He dumped me last night. Said he doesnt give second chances. After ignoring me for 2 weeks I went to him with his fav shake to talk. He met me at the door with my stuff. After everything… just because I overreacted at the wrong time. It was messy. Im not ok, but I will be. Im done,  I need someone who will communicate when there’s a dissagreement and not hold me to unrealistic expectations. It’s not love if its conditional. Remember that.

    Dear Savanah,

It is his loss that he has treated a loving person in this manner. Take care of yourself.

    Dear Savanah:

You wrote earlier: “It just hurts that I was the first thing he shut out”- reads to me that he was angry before he met you, having been cheated on before. Then he got very angry about his foot dysfunction and his anger found its aim at you. One of the oldest human dynamic: having to blame someone and in the absence of the true culprit or a visible/ convenient target, one directs their anger at who is available.

Reads to me that you are reasonable and that you were truly loving to him. Too bad he reacted to his rage by turning away from his  life the one good thing he did have.

I hope you do recover from this breakup. I think you  did your best.

    anita
