Hi guys wondering if you can help

Struggling right with a situation that has happened because of coronavirus.

I was seeing someone and we were having a nice time but now that coronavirus has happened it is difficult to navigate.

I feel like i need more support and more contact but i also know that person is struggling with the circusmtances and the best way for them is to not speak or they get frustrated but personally i feel like i need more contact as otherwise i feel really sad and undervalued.

    Any tips?

    Dear nancy8:

You are in a long distance relationship, correct?

“that person is struggling with the circumstances and the best way for them is to not speak or they get frustrated”- can you tell me what specifically he or she is struggling with?

And why did he or she gets frustrated when speaking with you?

I am asking because without answers I don’t know specifically your situation, not all relationship during a pandemic suffer the exact same way.

I understand you feeling “really sad and undervalued”. I wonder how that person valued you before the pandemic… I wonder how long this relationship has  been going on, if it was always long distance, if you have plans to see each other, or to have a life together?

(I will be back to your thread to check if you answered me in about 12 hours from now).

    Hi nancy8,

The pandemic really does a great job at highlighting what (or who!) really matters. Long distance is hard enough, but what are relationships worth if it’s put on hold during a national crisis? Do you really want your future children to hear the story of how dad didn’t deal with mom because he couldn’t deal? My advice is to silently break up with him and see if he notices.

    Dear nancy8:

Just keep showing to him how much he means to you. Don’t be so clingy just let things go with the flow. You will realize how much he loves you.
