    Hello everyone,

We’re a family who fled Russia because of the war and started a new life in Brazil in 2023. We arrived without any networks, connections, or visibility, and everything here is completely new, learning a new language, learning programming, and building our life from scratch.

Inspired by our experiences, we are working on a project to reduce food waste by connecting people with near-expiry food at discounted prices. It’s our way of creating positive change in the world, and anyone who wishes to support our project can do so here: https://fnd.us/42g6ec?ref=sh_6EkCU3

It’s been challenging to even get initial support for the work we’re trying to do, and we’re reaching out to this community in the hope of connecting with others who understand what it’s like to start over in a new country.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story.

    With gratitude,
    Natalia & Kirill

Yes, immigrating from one country to another is difficult. But, you first look for people who speak your language and see if they can help you get acclimated. Find out if there are programs for people new to the country. Find jobs and places to live. Grocery stores which sell the foods you are accustomed to. Good luck to you.

Thank you so much for your advice! We are learning Portuguese to help us integrate, while also learning programming. The project we’re working on, focused on reducing food waste, is our own initiative. We hope to contribute to solving a global problem rather than just looking for a job. It’s fully bootstrapped, and we’re really committed to seeing it through, which is why we’re seeking support to help us complete and launch it.
