Some of the most generous people have no money. Some of the wisest people have no education. Some of the kindest people were hurt the most.

You did the best you could with the knowledge you had in that moment. It’s easier to look back at an event and see a better choice or pathway because we already learned from our experience. Hindsight happens after the lesson, so we can’t condemn ourselves for not knowing the lesson before we learned it.

You learn nothing from life if you think you’re right all the time.

People will teach you how to love by not loving you back. People will teach you how to forgive by not apologizing. People will teach you kindness by their judgment. People will teach you how to grow by remaining stagnant. Pay attention when you’re going through pain and mysterious times. Listen to the wisdom life is trying to teach you.

There are things that we don’t want to happen but have to accept, things we don’t want to know but have to learn, people we can’t live without but have to let go.

Empty pockets never held anyone back. Only empty heads and empty hearts can do that.

Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.

Your pain is an opportunity for you to learn about yourself.

He who is afraid to ask is ashamed of learning.

Forget what hurt you but never forget what it taught you.

Let go of your attachment to being right and suddenly your mind is more open. You’re able to benefit from the unique viewpoints of others, without being crippled by your own judgment.

Everything in life comes to you as a teacher. Pay Attention. Learn quickly.

Life is about trusting your feelings and taking chances, losing and finding happiness, appreciating the memories, learning from the past, and realizing people change.

Our vision is more obstructed by what we think we know than by our lack of knowledge.

Change your opinions, keep to your principles; change your leaves, keep intact your roots.

View your life with kindsight. Stop beating yourself up about things from your past. Instead of slapping your forehead and asking, ‘What was I thinking,’ breathe and ask yourself the kinder question, ‘What was I learning?’

My experience is that the teachers we need most are the people we’re living with right now.

The only mistake in life is the lesson not learned.

If you’re not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you’re determined to learn, no one can stop you.

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
