Never hold yourself back from trying something new just because you’re afraid you won’t be good enough. You’ll never get the opportunity to do your best work if you’re not willing to first do your worst and then let yourself learn and grow.

Sometimes you simply have to accept that you can’t accomplish as much as you’d like to. If you’re sick, tired, or hurting emotionally, you just have to do what you reasonably you can and then give yourself whatever you need to feel better. You may feel like you’re falling behind, but you’re not failing. You’re doing what you need to do to take good care of yourself, and that’s the most important thing you can do when you’re struggling.

It’s okay if you fall apart sometimes. Tacos fall apart, and we still love them.

Sometimes you just have to let yourself off the hook. Forget everything you didn’t check off your to-do list, forgive yourself for any mistakes, and stop dwelling on everything you think you could have done better. The past is behind you, and it can only control you if you let it. So let go of what you should have done and focus on the best you can going forward.

And if today, all you did was hold yourself together, I am proud of you.

I spend an insane amount of time wondering if I’m doing it right. At some point I just remind myself that I’m doing my best. That is enough.

Just because you’re taking longer than others doesn’t mean you’re a failure. Keep going.

‘What if I fall?’ Oh, but darling, what if you fly?

Optimist: Someone who figures that taking a step backward after taking a step forward is not a disaster, it’s a cha-cha.

A mistake that makes you humble is better than an achievement that makes you arrogant.

New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.

Sometimes you just have to take a step back, take stock of your life, and recognize what isn’t serving you. It might be a relationship that causes you nothing but heartache, a pattern of behavior that sets you up for disappointment or failure, or even just a refusal to accept reality for what it is. Whatever it is that causes you pain, find the self-awareness to be honest with yourself and the strength to let it go. Nothing will change till you do.

Try and fail but don’t fail to try.

All endings are also beginnings. We just don’t know it at the time.

I learned that things don’t always turn out the way you planned, or the way you think they should. And I’ve learned that there are things that go wrong that don’t always get fixed or get put back together the way they were before. I’ve learned that some broken things stay broken, and I’ve learned that you can get through bad times and keep looking for better ones, as long as you have people who love you.

Life can still be beautiful, meaningful, fun, and fulfilling even if things don’t turn out the way you planned.

Support your friends. Listen to their ideas. Go to their events. Share their posts. Celebrate in their victories and remind them of their importance after their failures. A little support can go a very long way in someone’s life.

What’s in your heart is far more important than what’s in your resume, your job description, and your bank account.

Give yourself a break. Stop beating yourself up! Everyone makes mistakes, has setbacks and failures. You don’t come with a book on how to get it right all the time. You will fail sometimes, not because you planned to, but simply because you’re human. Failure is a part of creating a great life.

To create more positive results in your life, replace ‘if only’ with ‘next time.’
