My favourite pastime would probably be either learning new things by reading, watching documents or watching informational videos. Though I also really enjoy arts and I’ve recently started my own greeting card business. I also love the outdoors so I love mostly anything out doors.

    What’s your favourite pastime?

Own greeting cards business. Sounds so much fun. Watching informational videos goes on my list as well. I enjoy volunteering a lot, also spending time with children..

@Rainbow volunteering is always enjoyable! What kind of things do you do for volunteering?

I ve volunteered with groups who paint old age homes, distribute medicines to people who can’t afford it, play/spend time with children in a cancer ward, arranged for children to come over to our work place during Christmas asking them to make wish list of gifts, yoga teacher for in weekend rehabilitation home for adolescent girls with slight mental challenges and epilepsy, sunday school, fund raising etc. At one point in my life, I regretted not having done a degree in social service. Maybe I chose to study something which is not of much interest to me. However, I have been lucky to fulfill two dreams I had with respect to my career. I wanted to work in a kindergarten school and work in the social sector. I could fulfill these two dreams and I am grateful 🙂 🙂

I believe the universe is rooted in love and helps us to work on what we are weak in.. my time now 🙂 hopefully I’ll come out strong.. thank you for.your kind and encouraging words dear Ashley..

    Hi Ashley,

I love cooking.  I like searching youtube for different recipes and trying them out on my family.  When I have time and money, I like to go to stores of different nationalities such as Ethiopia, Mexican, Asian, etc. and see what kind of interesting spices and food they have.

I love crafting!  It is a great way for me to unwind and relax.  I do a lot of crocheting while binge watching television.  I have a Cricut and my daughter and I have been making a lot of shirts for her with it.

My favorite pastime is playing video games. In recent years I didn’t get much chance to play too many video games but in recent months due to the lockdown situation in our country, I have been spending lots of time playing video games. At the moment I am mainly playing valorant which is a superb FPS, before this I was playing a battle royale named call of duty: warzone. There is also an excellent game releasing next month titled cyberpunk 2077 which I will be definitely playing as soon as I get it so my pastime isn’t going bad even in these tough times with the pandemic and lockdown.

For me, it is reading, walking in the early morning, singing out loud while playing my guitar.

I have been reading a book titled The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin and found out that I only consider so little things that can be categorized as being fun to do during the pastime. Now, I am looking for more activities since I have so much spare time during this pandemic to keep my mind busy. I still got nothing. And here I am, roaming the internet searching for inspirations.

Listening to music and watching enthralling movies. Anyone else like music?

I would have to say foraging. A friend of mine introduced me to mushroom foraging a few months back and its been amazing. Not only am I getting to learn fascinating things about Fungi and nature, I get to explore the beautiful mountains and woods away from the chaos of towns and cities. It is incredibly relaxing and fulfilling.

My partner plays War of Duty: Warzone 2.0 as well! In fact I got him the PS5. He absolutely loves it. And I love watching him play, which is weird. But I like to think about strategies as I watch him play. He is good at offense, I guess I’m better at defense. So we would make a good team if we were to play together

I go for walks when I feel bored and when I need the energy boost. I don’t like to feel like I’m “stuck” so I would rather walk, sometimes across 2-3 suburbs that is how far I can go. I like puzzles as well, I like sudokus (the crazy hard ones)

But I like to read as well. Not really into books. But more like forums, like what people have to say about certain topics, and to see what their opinions are. It is always inspiring to know that there are people out there who might (not) think the same as me. But they might have some great ideas that I haven’t even thought about, so there is always something new to learn about people (I don’t get along with everyone but I get that everyone deserves a chance to speak for themselves).

Also we’ve got a new coffee machine so I guess making coffees? Does it count as a pastime
