    I plan to study for my PHD in social work however, l need to know what type of jobs l can earn through it and if it’s worth it to pursue? Are there any other doctorates l can pursue in the social field that does not involve research?

    Dear Ann:

    I wouldn’t know. You can and should do a thorough research on the matter, use different sources of information about the practical job opportunities in the location or locations relevant to you and future outlook, including government rules and regulations relevant to the PhD and jobs you are looking into.

    Try starting with what you enjoy? What money do you need to earn? Are you just in it for the money? Will your Ph.D. help anyone else? Can you afford to do a Ph.D.? There are so many questions you need to jot down and answer way before you get down to the course and where to study!  I was told after my first first class gons degree to ‘hurry up do your masters as you can easily do your Ph.D. with your brains etc etc!  Thankfully I don’t need to prove anything to anyone! So my advice after two degrees with firsts is to take your time!! Blessings RevRy
