ParticipantHi Anita,
I hope you had a good weekend.
I had a good weekend celebrating my partners birthday this weekend and have been back to work today.
I think I will consider a life/career coach of some sort as talking about this more freely will likely help me. I will continue with my gratitude, exercise and calm app to try and manage through this period the best I can while I figure things out longer term.

Thank you! Good to read that you had a good weekend celebrating your partner’s birthday, and I’m glad to read that you’re exploring options for support like a life/career coach. I think that it could be very beneficial for you.
It’s great that you’re continuing with your gratitude, exercise, and Calm app practices – those are all excellent ways to manage stress and stay positive.

ParticipantHi Anita,
Hope you have a good weekend!
I have a bit of the Sunday blues today. I found out late last week i will needed to do a big presentation on Tuesday to 100+ people.
Public speaking to a crowd like that isn’t something I generally enjoy and I do feel a little anxious about it. I will try and prepare the best I can for it tomorrow and just do my best.

ParticipantHi Anita,
Appreciate the reply as always, I am ok with putting the presentation together. It’s more delivering it to a large group. I always get very nervous etc and worry about it until it’s done. Thanks

ParticipantDear Tom:
Thank you for your message. I completely understand your concerns about delivering the presentation to a large group. It’s natural to feel nervous about public speaking.
If it helps, here are a few tips that might ease your nerves:
Practice: Rehearse your presentation multiple times, either in front of a mirror, with a friend, or recording yourself. Familiarity will boost your confidence.
Focus on Breathing: Before and during your presentation, take deep breaths to calm your nerves.
Engage with the Audience: Try to focus on connecting with your audience rather than just delivering content. It can make the experience feel more like a conversation.
Positive Visualization: Picture yourself delivering a successful presentation. Positive imagery can help build confidence.
Remember, it’s okay to feel nervous. Even experienced speakers feel the same way. You’ve got this!

ParticipantHi Anita,
The presentation was yesterday and went ok I think. I did my best and that is the main thing.
Still want to try and find something i enjoy more but the 6 month notice period does concern me. I am hoping to have a relaxing weekend where I can think.
Thanks

ParticipantDear Tom:
It’s good to read that your presentation went well! Doing your best is indeed the most important thing, and I’m sure it showed.
It’s understandable to feel concerned about the 6-month notice period, especially when you’re considering finding something you enjoy more. Taking time to think and reflect over the weekend sounds like a good plan. It’s important to give yourself space to make thoughtful decisions about your future.
I hope you have a relaxing and restorative weekend ahead. Feel free to reach out if you need to talk or need any support.
