After you have finished with whatever transpired all in a days work and find some alone time. What is something which brings you peace as an individual. What is the thing (phrase, thought, practice process) which you can refer to that allows you to rejuvenate the positive energy into your soul/body to continue trekking through this journey otherwise known as life.
e.g What keeps you grounded as an individual from day to day? How do you find drive? What process helps you find out who you are? and how you want shape yourself/mentality for the near future? Things along those lines.
The reason I ask is because I am currently soul searching, trying to find myself on an individual level. Sifting through the methods other individuals have/practice could prove to be beneficial in all our lives. If we could all share advice with one another in this thread it would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, a lot things can ground me, drive me, etc.
If something bothers me I think “So what?” and/or “This too will pass.”
Things that help me:
Reading
Online gaming
Prayer
Yoga
Meditating
Cooking
Looking at my Goals/Intentions for the year (not just the To Do list)
Asking myself (let’s say I fail/”fail” at a diet ~ “Am I sticking to the Spirit of the diet?”) “Am I sticking to the Spirit of what I’m trying to do?”Hope this helps!
Blessings,
Inky

January 27, 2016 at 10:16 am #93954AnonymousGuestDear soulz:
I suffered lots of fear, anxiety in my life, ongoing, excess fear. I have been on my healing path close to five years now. What I say to myself every single afternoon, it seems, is the following: “All I have is this afternoon. And maybe this evening. And maybe tonight. And maybe tomorrow morning.”
This seems to help me. It is real, this is all I really have and all I ever had… or will have.

It’s been very exciting and while I’ve done startups before, this is the one where i’m in total control as it’s just me running this thing. So believe it or not, i find myself relaxing when i’m putting in hours towards this project even though there is probably a 90% chance it’s a bust. They say it’s not really work when you love what you do, eh? 🙂
I also do nature photography and sometimes spend hours every other day planning which places I could visit in the near future. In general, I find that something to look forward to with anticipation is always great and even healthy for the mind.

Do you journal? If you’re soul-searching, that’s a great way to integrate your ideas, thoughts and experiences at the end of each day. And looking back through old journals helps to show you your own journey as you go along. It also helps to put things on paper so your mind can stop mulling over them and get back to a quieter, more peaceful place 🙂February 4, 2016 at 2:01 am #94926MattyParticipantHi Soulz,
I guess what keeps me grounded is knowing that others before me have felt the same way. If i want to clear my head or something, i go back to things that make me feel stronger than anyone else (i don’t feel this way, i.e superior; just a way of building my self-confidence). I love learning languages, learning about philosophy, even helping and supporting others on numerous other web forums. Half the journey of life is learning how best to proceed, that’s what i believe.

Being outdoors in nature and moving in some way works best for me. I feel as though my body needs to move, especially outdoors for my mind to feels itself and be aware of existence best. I tend to try to let my mind drift to think of all of natural existence and connection of things while outside moving and enjoy whatever thoughts I encounter.
