So at the beginning of this year, I was not necessarily overweight, but uncomfortable in my own skin. I decided to eat healthier and lose weight, and I got very skinny. I then found fitness as a way to get stronger physically and mentally. I thought that having six pack abs would bring me happiness, but I was wrong. Today, I have a lot more muscle on my body and those abs I always wanted. However, I am still unsatisfied and unhappy. Clothes don’t fit me the same, which makes me really unhappy and self conscious. I love fashion, but I feel like my body isn’t what I want it to be. I find myself constantly counting my calories and how many carbs and protein I’m eating. My whole focus seems to be on the gym and looking more in shape..but I am still left unhappy. I am afraid I will never be happy with my body no matter what I do or look like. I like fitness, but I feel like its fueling the fire of a negative body image. I don’t know what to do and I have struggled with my workouts all week because I just want to be happy with my body. Does anyone have thoughts on what I should do?

    Hey Amanda,

I definitely can understand the complex issues which you are facing.I am sure off late every girl deals with these feelings, which sometimes stretches too far and eventually they suffer from mood attacks. But you know what even if you are gifted with the utmost curvacious physique or a “Devil May Care” looks..things aren’t pleasing as long as u don’t feel good about yourself….personally i felt the reason behind bearing” Confidence” is the feel good factor which purely works out….if u don’t feel good with the credentials you are having in your body and highlighting the flaws constantly,it takes away your charm…In a way you are also becoming oblivion to your assets and inviting negativity which fails to attract people..As for the muscles or the anatomy of your body you can always shape them up with healthy exercise regime and patience, but don’t let it take too much toll on you because mental health is equally important .Be kind to yourself and feel happy cause it will naturally make you fit and glowing….I don’t deny that you shouldn’t take care or stop rectifying your flaws but don’t be depressed with it.For what you have others may be wanting it desperately and you never know people may find you extremely attractive in your current looks…After all, “Beauty Does Lie In The Eyes Of The Beholder”……………….Take Care Keep Smiling!!!!!!!!!!!!
