    Hi Elle Tinker 700,

Can you take a week off and give the ever nebulous “Doctor’s orders”? Or the Don’t Ask, “I have a doctor appointment that day/week?” Speak only four days? Claim wonky flight schedules beyond your control? Take on a desk assignment one month? Schedule vacation/sick days at strategic times? Can your friends/family visit you where you are?

Now, I don’t know about nutritional shakes, but do make sure you are eating enough protein. Aromatherapy can help relax you or energize you. See a nutritionist or doctor about your body’s stats and correct accordingly.

    Best,

    Hey,

Do u go to work with a real positve attitude is the first question you need to ask yourself.

You will have to accept your job and the job constraints I mean your job requires you to travel and stay away from your family .

Every job always has some constraints.I being into finance have to put in lot of working hours besides the scheduled time but thats the job constraint. A sales guy may have to meet his target and that could be his constraint.

Next thing please see if you are loving the job which are currently doing. Many a times we are not aware that the job which we are into is not as per our passion and liking. If it is so introspect and evaluate your ownself and look out what interests you the most.

Since you are not happy from your within that entire thing is making you sick physically.May be it has affected your appetite , your digestive systems also.Since happiness works on our internal organs of the body by secreting hormones .

So first be happy at the moment.
    Laugh and smile around.
Start your day with a positive note
Walk in the gardens, observe the rising sun , the flying birds. In short get connected to nature.
Pursue a hobby or area of interest.
    Meditate and do breathing exercises
With all this you will feel physically better
Have more of fresh fruits , and vegetable juices
Visit a doctor for your problem
Take a break and go out on a holiday.
    It will recharge you

    All the best

Is it possible that you need a different job? If you’re getting sick and you’re not with your family, maybe you should look at what you really want out of life, and how to have better work/life balance.

I think it’s a mistake to give our all to our jobs and to pay for them with our families and physical or mental health. If you’re so exhausted you can’t even eat properly, you will not be able to physically even do your job, much less do it well. I don’t know what kind of job it is or what the stakes are, but it seems important to me that you invest in some self-care. And if holding out for another week is going to be painful and make you sick, then by all means arrange to leave early. Say you’re sick or there’s a family emergency. Most likely, you will be OK whatever happens, even if you lose this job because of it. If the job is making you sick, then maybe that’s for the best.

It does sound like you might want to assess whether the job parameters can be changed so that you can experience less stress and more closeness with the people you love.

Thank you everyone for your responses! So appreciate the feedback 🙂

Veena – Yes, I come to work with a positive attitude every day and I do very well at work because of it.

I have decided to take each day at a time and try my very best to finish what I started, wish me luck and thank you again to all of you for your responses. <3

I would also like to ask you if you are happy in your job. Is this what you always wanted to do? Does it fulfill you? Do you work in that job because it makes you happy? Or do you rather work in it because someone else wants you to do this job?

Your body is clearly giving you signs. Drinking some shakes are not the solution to the problem. There is something not going very well inside of you and you need to figure out why. Take those signs serious. They are not just here. They want to tell you something.

You are responsible for your own life and your well-being. So don’t waste your health or your physical strength or mental well-being. YOu deserve to be the best version of yourself!

    Best, Martina
