I was just standing the other day with nothing special to do and decided to try out the things I’ve been putting off for a while. Most people have something they’ve always wanted to do but the moment never seemed right. Truth be told, the moment will never be just right and waiting would only come to haunt you in some time. I suggest we all share something we’ve wanted to do for a while and start it the very next day, not next monday and not when the moment is right. For example I’ve been waiting for the right moment to start drawing and I did it the other day. I’m not a professional but I was proud of myself for trying and I felt like there was one less thing on my “to do list”. I felt liberated and it was amazing. So why not try it out. odds are it wouldn’t even take up that much time. Whether it’s a morning run, writing a book, painting or whatever. I think we should just give it a shot. Life is too short to wait for opportunities to present themselves.

Way to go on drawing! What kind of drawing are you doing?
For me, I’ve been pushed to jump rope by a trainer. I’m new to it – I’m learning. I told him I would practice. Today I did some jump rope on my own. I had to get comfortable failing A LOT in front of people in the gym. For awhile I’ve put this off because I knew I would fumble at it. But, things were ok. And, I got it going pretty good a couple times! It’s fun then. I was listening to Chrissy Hynde’s new Dark Sunglasses song, so that helped me focus.

That sounds fun .. and hard to do. Hats off to you for creating art.
I’m seeing improvements with jumping rope each day. It’s also hard, but fun when I get going on it.

I’m with you… I’ll start tomorrow, for real this time.

Playing music is a great thing to get going on. How are you getting started?
I started piano lessons a few months ago and got used full piano. It’s a lot to learn – and slow going – reading the music, knowing the notes and keys, getting used to the keyboard, etc. Guitar adds the need to develop callouses right?
My jump rope is awesome within week! I just had to dedicate myself and be willing to fail in front of a gym full of people. Now I jump rope for active recovery between weight lifting sets or other exercises. Doing 100s per gym visit. It’s fun.

Today I will workout for at least an hour. I’ve been wanting to get into the habit of working out 5 days a week and what better day to start than today?
Such a motivational thread!
