I’m a filmmaker in Toronto and I’ve written a script for an indie movie called Look Again. It’s a comed about a guy on the verge of ending it all when he’s visited by his guardian angel who gives him a gift: a pair of glasses that enable him to see who is “good” and who is “bad”. While I’ve been a filmmaker for over 25 years, I also have been a leadership coach working in the corporate world. I’ve seen how our tendency to judge others (and ourselves) impacts on the way we experience our life. I’ve also been a practitioner of mindful meditation to help master my own thinking.

My favorite film of all time is It’s a Wonderful Life. I aspire to make movies that both entertain and get us thinking and talking.

While I like the idea of judgement we apply to people, I do not understand what you mean by “good” and “bad”. How is one person better than another. I can explain it for myself, but I am just not sure whether we share the same point of view.

The whole idea of someone being “good” or “bad” is what the movie explores. Can we really sum people up like that? Why would we tend to? I think we are quick to judge and put people in boxes and that’s what’s dangerous.
