Yes Anita, distraction is often helpful especially when emotions of fear or regret or restlessness are in the extreme.

I’ll do as suggested by you. I’ll watch YouTube videos or read a book.

Thank you. Have a lovely day ahead πŸ™‚

I really like the examples that you have mentioned. I was thinking more from a macro stand point but you point out cycles which occur even in a moment (inhalation and exhalation). Very interesting! Gives my heart immense solace and also gives me food for thought to understand and contemplate equanimity, especially because duality occurs in every moment!. Thank you for.sucb a thoughtful reply and insights, Peter πŸ™‚

If you kept yelling for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you would produce enough sound energy to heat up a cup of tea.

Ironically, I am bad at self care. I love volunteering but sometimes I think am I escaping working on myslef? Nature has its own to teach us I guess. I am working on myself now. I have no choice. I believe the universe is rooted in love and helps us to work on what we are weak in.. my time now πŸ™‚ hopefully I’ll come out strong.. thank you for.your kind and encouraging words dear Ashley..

I ve volunteered with groups who paint old age homes, distribute medicines to people who can’t afford it, play/spend time with children in a cancer ward, arranged for children to come over to our work place during Christmas asking them to make wish list of gifts, yoga teacher for in weekend rehabilitation home for adolescent girls with slight mental challenges and epilepsy, sunday school, fund raising etc. At one point in my life, I regretted not having done a degree in social service. Maybe I chose to study something which is not of much interest to me. However, I have been lucky to fulfill two dreams I had with respect to my career. I wanted to work in a kindergarten school and work in the social sector. I could fulfill these two dreams and I am grateful πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Own greeting cards business. Sounds so much fun. Watching informational videos goes on my list as well. I enjoy volunteering a lot, also spending time with children..

Heyy Mark, I wrote this post elsewhere and a person recommended the same book:)I should pick it up. Thank you πŸ™‚

Anita, stuff like, if I am not perfect, then no one loves you. Many other things but it has eased out now. I am glad πŸ™‚

Exactly Anita. Now I don’t know the difference, if I ve actually offended someone or not. Growing up, I built up a different belief system and now I am unlearning. I ve learnt most of my lessons from the world which is hard sometimes. I am so so happy you are doing well now. Stay happy πŸ™‚

I really appreciate you taking the time to write out this reply, Ashley. I like the exercise you ve mentioned. I’ll try it out πŸ™‚ . My sensitivity feels even more tangible now because my food allergies are getting more. I have to work really hard to be extra aware and root it out of my system. Thank you so much πŸ™‚

Yes that’s the case with me. I am slowly healing though. Meditation is helping me go within to reach the root. I tried counseling and therapy as well. Right now I am in a muchΒ  better place. πŸ™‚
