Do you think life itself is divine? If so, how do you know? How would you define divinity?

A happy good morning to you Brian.

Do I think life is divine?  It depends upon one’s definition of divine as in your 3rd question above.

To me, if divinity has anything to do with religion (and it usually does), then I throw it all out.  As I see it, religion is man-made (oh my on that one right?) so it has little to no value when talking about spirituality.

So if one wants to say life is divine, (religiously speaking) then great. Go with that.

I say if the word divine means nice, loving, wonderful, etc… then my reply to your initial question is yes.

As to your 2nd question, the answer lies within.  When you remove your “thinking mind”, and look for answers within, within your, the deeper you, then many answers arise.  You feel or hear the deeper you (or the collective if you will) and there is “the truth”.  Your answers.

I was reading the book The 4 Agreements and it has a lot of elements from Eastern religions like pantheistic beliefs. I wish supernatural beings would communicate with me. That would be cool. I just don’t think it has happened.[/quote]

GREAT book isn’t it.  LOVE it!

Brian my friend, I’d rather not get hung up on definitions due to over analyzing (though other times definitions are important), but regarding supernatural beings…….. 1) To humans my friend, they are supernatural.  2) If you are talking about the supernatural being those who “passed on”, then yes, you can indeed talk with them.  It is a matter of learning how.

Sometimes the supernatural does indeed talk to humans.   In a voice as we know it. Sometimes through a feeling. (It is more like communicate than talk per se.)  Sometimes through smell or things that happen around you.

Hopefully the above is shedding some light on the matters you brought up.

It is GREAT to ask questions.  It is the beginning of a wonderful adventure into the spirit world, why we are here, etc…. FUN stuff too.

If I might add………..enlightenment is becoming “aware”.

Many people plod along in their everyday life.  Which is fine of course. (Being there is no right or wrong…..spiritually speaking.)

As a new born may look at his/her hand in a state of bewilderment, as if to say, “What is this?”, humans plod through life. When we ask ourselves……wait a moment. What is going on? Why am I here on earth? What is this voice in my head? Etc… this new found thought of “why” and “what” to your being, is enlightenment.
