Though I run this site, it is not mine. It's ours. It's not about me. It's about us. Your stories and your wisdom are just as meaningful as mine.
Hi Lori,
Do What Is Right, Not What Is Easy
but
Bill Gates once said that he would always “hire a lazy person to do a difficult job” at Microsoft. Why? “Because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it.”
can you equate?
Thanks for sharing, Gopi! I think in this instance, Bill was referring to finding a simple solution – meaning the person wouldn’t overcomplicate it. I interpret this quote to mean doing the right thing when it’s hard – i.e. apologizing when your pride’s getting in the way, or taking a stand against injustice when you’re tempted to stay silent and do nothing.
