what if you are truly not in the space to consider them. is it necessary to still say ” i will consider them”. Not an excuse to get defensive but i also think it is OK to say “Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Unfortunately i tend to disagree. If you have the space to discuss, i would like to share why i disagree”.
I don’t think it’s ever really necessary to say this. I personally liked this idea because it allows us to receive someone else’s opinion without feeling a need to get into a debate. But if you flat out disagree and feel more comfortable initiating a conversation about why, then this sounds like a great way to do it!
