This post really hit home with me. You are talking about my ex-husband! I had to talk to him recently concerning our daughter and grandchildren and it just does not work because of this very thing. He is not mentally mature, he has not grown at all since we divorced 15 years ago but from time to time I have to try to communicate with him because of our daughter. He is so toxic. I get anxiety just thinking about having to try to discuss anything with him.
I’m sorry you have to deal with this, Victoria! I know how frustrating it can be when you need to keep a line of communication open with someone who isn’t open to discussion.
