UPDATE: The winners for this giveaway have already been chosen.
The winners:
- Antwanette Miller
- Rebecca
This may seem like Déjà vu, because I published an almost identical post last Friday. It’s now a new week (soon to be weekend) and a new chance to win a copy of Tiny Buddha’s Guide to Loving Yourself!
For those of you who already bought a copy, I hope you’re enjoying it!
And I have a special request for you: Since it’s brand new, there are currently only four reviews on Amazon. (Thank you so much to those of you who responded to my request last week and wrote one!)
Those reviews go a long way in influencing people who may benefit from the book.
If you’ve found the site and the book helpful, I would be so grateful if you would take five or ten minutes out of your day to support me and the site by reviewing Tiny Buddha’s Guide to Loving Yourself.
Whether you write two words, two sentences, or more, it will make a tremendous difference.
Now on to today’s giveaway!
This one’s a little different, in that you won’t be entering to win a copy for yourself; instead, its an opportunity to have a copy mailed to someone you love, directly from my publisher, with a special note from you.
About Tiny Buddha’s Guide to Loving Yourself
Tiny Buddha’s Guide to Loving Yourself is a collaborative book featuring a collection of stories from Tiny Buddha contributors, along with tips to help you feel good about yourself and your life.
The book shares 40 unique perspectives and insights on topics related to loving yourself. It will help you:
- Release shame about your past and the limiting beliefs that keep you stuck
- See yourself as beautiful and valuable, with all your flaws and weaknesses
- Accept yourself more and judge yourself less
- Forgive yourself for your mistakes and stop being hard on yourself
- Minimize the need for approval to feel more confident
- Let go of the comparisons that keep you feeling inferior
- Feel complete so that you no longer look to others to fill a void within yourself
- Find the courage to share your authentic self for deeper connections with others
- Learn to take care of yourself instead of putting everyone else’s needs first
- Believe that you’re valuable so you can start creating a life you love
I started Tiny Buddha and created this book because I believe there is a healing power in recognizing that we are never alone with our challenges.
And there’s nothing wrong with us for what we’ve been through or what we’re going through.
No matter how we’ve struggled, no matter what our flaws or weaknesses, we are worthy of being fully seen—and we can make a difference in the world by doing it.
I hope this books helps you remember, in times of doubt, that you are beautiful, imperfections and all, and you can thrive not in spite of them, but because of them.

I think people appreciate my mindfulness. It’s much easier to be a better, more thoughtful listener when you can be mindful and present in the moment, and I think people appreciate that.
I think people appreciate my ability to take charge and get a task completed.
I think people appreciate my positivity. As a friend labeled it my “delightful and contagious positive attitude toward everything.”
I think people appreciate my willingness to listen. Though I may not always have answers, sometimes just talking it out really helps people understand.
I think people appreciate my thoughtfulness. I always try to be a source of power and inspiration for my friends.
I think people appreciate my selflessness. I always put others first and I am willing to go out my way for their benefit.
I think people appreciate my honesty and sincerity because it reflects how much I care about them to be honest and forthright with them
When I start to get sad and feel poorly about myself, I remember one of the things I’ve been told people appreciate about me – my passion. I am passionate about creating a better me, and loving those around me – and I’ve been told it really shows and is appreciated by others.
Great post, and looking forward to hopefully winning the book for me and a friend to share the love and openly admitting to feeling and situation. People appreciate that. Some of course don’t 😉
When others are caught up in their drama and they start telling me about it, I listen and then if they are open, I share not only how mindfulness can help them see their “drama” differently, but also that these drama experiences are messages, messages that we should embrace and trust; they ultimately have an empowering meaning if we sit still with them and look. Learning this myself (and still learning!) brought more people into my life that I could share this with, so we learn from each other and grow – then we all end up appreciating each other more and more.
Mindful and what I feel it means about me: Optimistic, Positive, Holistic, Curious, Explorative, Grateful, Understanding, Insightful, Free Spirited, Heart Oriented-Awareness.
Others tell me I give good gifts – that I always put in personalized, deep thought into purchases. And it’s true – I do. I LOVE getting people unusual things that are particularly individualized based on their preferences.
compassion
my generosity.
There are times in my mama’s life when I feel she can conquer all the ups and downs, ins and outs, and sideways of life’s offerings. Here, it is the pinnacle of all her ‘self’ love coming together. Here, she has learned to reward herself with self caring knowledge. We live, we learn and then we act. Loved and appreciated by others is her undoing of judgement and her acceptance of individuals wherever they are in life. She is an amazing person, so giving that she would honor my bookshelf with Tiny Buddha’s Guide to Loving Yourself!!
Kindness.
Loyalty
People appreciate my kindness, honesty, and loyalty =)
My honesty, my compassion and my encouragement.
Honesty
My creativeness
I think what people appreciate about me is that I always try to be positive and optimistic, even in the face of difficulties in my life. I always seek to find humour, love, and simply warmth (joy, hugs, smooches…) whenever needed.
Strong spirit.
my patience
I think others appreciate that I am kind and openhearted.
I would love to send a copy of this book to my Mom! She recently fell and broker her ankle and I moved in with her to take care of her. She had surgery 2 weeks ago and will still be non-weight bearing for another 6 weeks. I could not be more happy that I am here to help her and make sure she is taken care of, but I can tell that it bothers her to not be able to take care of her own needs (and understandably so). It’s funny to watch though as she is still trying to take care of me while I am trying to take care of her. My mom has always put the need for her 3 kids above her own and I can’t think of anyone who deserves a good dose of self-love than her. I know she appreciates so much my being here to help her. I just wish she knew how happy I am to be here too!
My friends seem to always feel comfortable talking to me about any and everything because I’m probably the least judgmental person they know. I am a good listener, and I never give advice unless it’s asked of me. Sometimes, people just need an ear to vent, and I feel like I am that friend. I’m very compassionate as well. Maybe a bit too compassionate.
i believe people appreciate my patience and understanding
My willingness to go more than the extra mile for friends. I’ve stayed up through nights helping friends with issues they face, being there for them when they need someone. At times,
empathetic, energetic, loving, positive, loyal, strength, free spirited nature, earthly i know that there are plenty of other things but we will stop there.
My quiet nature makes for a great listener !
People appreciate my willingness to investigate and not just to answer questions by opinion
I think others appreciate that my heart is bigger than I can handle at times.
I can be quite honest, and sometimes that’s good..but other times it’s not so good. However, people appreciate honesty over concealing the truth
I have been complimented on my grace, my patience for others and my surroundings.
I think others appreciate my willingness to always be there for them when they’re feeling down. (My dad passed away last week – would love to win a free copy to share with my stepmom.) Thanks so much!
I know that others appreciate that I listen to what they are saying.
I’m not sure how you will select from all of these wonderful messages. It makes my heart sing to hear of others who share my love of kindness, compassion and generosity! Our world needs more of these three qualities, and much less egosim! Thank you Lori for TinyBudhha!
My silly animated faces!
My willingness to give and take responsibility for my actions whether right or wrong.
I believe others appreciate my kindness and ability to see and over alternative perspectives in live and love. I’m tweeting next. 😉 @hernamelsmel <3

I think people appreciate my energy when I’m doing or talking about something that I love.
One thing I think people appreciate about me is that I have a heart of gold I really enjoy helping people and giving back to the community. I remember when I started a food drive in my neighborhood, I provided can goods and box food such as cereal, oatmeal and hamburger helper for the less fortune. It really touch my heart to see so many beautiful smiles.
I am forgiving.
People love that I’m able to insightful to the way people think and feel. I’m able to help many people using my intuition and sensible advice.
people appreciate my sense of humor—my ability to laugh and be happy even in the midst of dark situations.
Both friends and strangers appreciate my politeness, not based on societal expectations, but on my desire to show kindness and compassion to all my brethren in this world. Those who know me really well are also aware that my heart overflows with Love and inspiration, so it is takes very little from me to make others smile 🙂
my loyalty & honesty
I make sure and be on time, I think it’s respectful to others that you value their time, among other things. Thanks!
