Every one? How to know I have my Inner Peace. I’ve read the articles about Inner peaces and all. But how to know if you finally got it? I know I have to be patience. It takes times until Inner Peace comes to you. But when?

I have no clue to how do you know have Inner Peace. My guess is that if you still wondering then you don’t have Inner Peace.
But as they say, it’s the journey not the destination. So don’t focus so much on achieving Inner Peace but just focus on your life.

“How to know I have my Inner Peace”
When you no longer ask this question.
“It takes times until Inner Peace comes to you. But when?”
Every moment is a new and fresh moment. So NOW is always the time to feel peaceful about any person, situation and event. It will only take time for peace to come to you if you live more in psychological time (past/future conditioning of the mind).
- “Time isn’t precious at all, because it is an illusion. What you perceive as precious is not time but the one point that is out of time: the Now. That is precious indeed. The more you are focused on time—past and future—the more you miss the Now, the most precious thing there is.” ~ Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment
- “No matter how long your journey appears to be, there is never more than this: one step, one breath, one moment – The Now.”
- “Nothing has happened in the past; it happened in the Now. Nothing will ever happen in the future; it will happen in the Now.”
- “All negativity is caused by an accumulation of psychological time and denial of the present. Unease, anxiety, tension, stress, worry – all forms of fear – are caused by too much future, and not enough presence. Guilt, regret, resentment, grievances, sadness, bitterness, and all forms of nonforgiveness are caused by too much past, and not enough presence.”
- “You cannot be both unhappy and fully present in the Now.”
Warm Regards,
VJ

For me, im almost attaining inner peace but it took time. . i learned that the best way to attain inner peace is to not view the present moment as a problem that has to overcome..Instead just accept the present moment as it is and know that it is paving way for something greater,….also another way to earn inner peace is to realize that Life/divine intelligence is always working on your favour, therefore, go with the flow by not resisting what happens. also you can attain inner peace by having confidence that nothing, whether good or bad can harm you…if you have confidence in uaself you dont worry about the future, and you always believe that you can overcome anything, and you therefore attain inner peace because inner peace occurs when you are nott affected by whatever that happens

February 17, 2018 at 10:50 pm #193041RiskyParticipantHi Chris, I believe inner peace occurs when you are free from all your problems. You might automatically think that this is unattainable or for the monks who live in a ‘safe’ environment with no one to offend them but it is true, please believe me.
For you, I would write down all your ‘current’ problems and confront each and every one of them in turn until you have non left. Logical without these problems you will have to be happy which is the start of inner peace. Problems of the mind occur from other people not really from physical situations … we have all heard of the happiest man just sitting on a park bench which makes me laugh but is true – listen to some boring Eckhart Tolle (its only his voice that is boring not what he is trying to teach) and his journey of his happiness started with nothing, also no one bothering him as he was a bum (which would have helped) and then ‘us’ creating a problem out of it.
Once you put a game plan around a problem it becomes a challenge which sits better in mind. We only grow as people by dealing with problems (or challenges) so willingly head towards them with integrity, your head held high that you ‘want’ it sorted out and it will. Every problem you create has an answer which is usually your first thought about the situation – the first thought is always correct its just our damn brains that start to complicate it to no end and people forgot the answer of the first thought after hours, days, months or years of what I call chinese whispers of the brain… we end up far from the solution.
Problems will continually occur, that is life, but continually confront them and you will remain in peace.
It sounds like you have few problems so finish the job and inner peace will be yours.

March 9, 2018 at 9:57 am #196561VivekParticipantInner peace will come only when you will live life cosnciously and when you will have no contradictions within. When you will act as per your conscious and not mind.
March 9, 2018 at 1:10 pm #196591PeterParticipantThere’s a Zen story about an eager young monk who checks into a monastery and is rearing to go get this thing called enlightenment. “How long will it take?” he asks the abbot.
“Ten years,” replies the abbot.
“That long! Why so long?” exclaims the horrified young monk.
“Did I say ten? I meant twenty.”
“Twenty?”
“So sorry, I think it will take you thirty years.
Asking “How long?” will get you ten. Three strikes will get you thirty. As soon as the expectation or imagery of awakening or inner peace pops up, you get thirty years.
When we measure experiences, the experience starts to disappear and become something else.
It is not calmness or inner peace we have when nothing is going on around us. It is when one’s actions and thoughts are calm, detached from outcomes and judgments (not indifference or stoicism), while engaged in the chaotic world around us that inner peace is “realized“.
It is a paradox of enlightenment (inner peace) that to become… we work to get to a place where we stop giving a darn about it… this, I suspect, is why the Buddha is seen so often laughing… we work for that which no work is required.
