Available Today: Ebook, Tiny Buddha’s Handbook for Peace & Happiness

Tiny Buddha’s Handbook for Peace and Happiness is the ultimate guide of Tiny Buddha wisdom, based on some of the most popular posts and quotes from the site. You’ll also find 4 posts not previously published on tinybuddha.com.

Through this eBook, I’ve shared myself authentically and vulnerably, and have also offered countless action-oriented suggestions to improve your state of mind, enhance your relationships, identify what makes you feel passionate and purposeful, and find the courage to overcome obstacles and seize your dreams.

These are my most popular, value-packed posts, as viewed by over 1.2 million readers in the last year and a half, hand-picked and edited into one easy-to-access PDF file.

10 Reasons to Buy Tiny Buddha’s Handbook for Peace & Happiness

You may be wondering why you should purchase this eBook, considering that many of these posts are already published on tinybuddha.com.

1. I’ve compiled and edited my most popular posts into one convenient resource.

I publish contributions from writers all over the world, but this eBook is a compilation of my personal best, as indicated through social networking shares and comment. If you’ve enjoyed the insights I’ve shared about letting go and embracing happiness, you may enjoy having them all in one place.

2. You’ll find a number of action-oriented solutions to the universal problems we all face, based in reality as it is.

As I mentioned last year in my talk at the Wisdom 2.0 Conference, I consistently leverage social media to ascertain what problems people are actively dealing with. Generally, they’re the same challenges I’ve faced and continue to face. We really aren’t all that different.

With every post, I’ve shared my own struggles honestly and offered realistic solutions, free from clichés.

3. You can print this eBook and access it anywhere.

If you want a little Tiny Buddha on the go or you’d like to read it disconnected from technology, this is a convenient way to access it.

4. You’ll find new content.

As you’ll see in the Table of Contents, I’ve added four posts that you can’t find on tinybuddha.com, including:

  • You Are Nothing (and That’s a Good Thing)
  • 10 Reasons It’s Awesome People Don’t Like You
  • Letting Go of Attachment: From A to Zen
  • You Say You Want It: So Why Do You Feel Paralyzed?

5. The ebook has an attractive design.

Joshua Denney who designed tinybuddha.com created a beautiful design, with dozens of color photographs.

6. Tiny Buddha’s Handbook for Peace and Happiness makes a wonderful gift.

If you’ve forwarded Tiny Buddha emails to friends and family in the past, they would likely appreciate reading the posts they may have missed.

7. I’ve priced the eBook to be affordable.

In my pre-release research, I learned that many people sell eBooks of this length and value for $27 or $47. Since I personally would not spend that much on a physical book let alone an eBook, I priced this as I found reasonable for a resource of this size.

8. I’ve consistently focused on honesty, authenticity, and integrity.

In running Tiny Buddha, I have received countless offers to monetize the social networking pages and this site. I have systematically rejected all of those offers, choosing instead to support the site with a select few hand-chosen sponsors.

The reader experience has always been my top priority with Tiny Buddha. You can trust that this resource will be worth the investment and more.

9. Buying Tiny Buddha’s Handbook for Peace and Happiness supports me and my continual work here.

If you’ve enjoyed Tiny Buddha, on Twitter since 2008 and on tinybuddha.com since 2009, this is a fantastic way to ensure the brand’s continued growth.

I’ve devoted thousands of hours and dollars to developing and expanding the site, throwing everything I have into my writing and editing, and regularly investing in new design elements and site features. I recently launched the Tiny Buddha quote widget, and I have plans to provide other resources and tools for happiness and mindfulness.

I by no means expect anything from the readers—this is a free site, and many of these posts already exist within the archives. But if you’d like to give something back while also receiving tremendous value, this is a wonderful opportunity to do it.

10. In reading this book, you will learn to:

  • Accept and love your authentic self
  • Depend less on external approval for happiness
  • Experience a greater sense of happiness in the present moment
  • Move on from painful events to feel joy again
  • Let go of negative feelings, attachments, fears, worries, and stresses
  • Stay present and peaceful, even when dealing with uncertainty
  • Create and maintain peaceful, loving, meaningful relationships
  • Deal with difficult or negative people
  • Slow down while still achieving goals
  • Find the courage to start pursuing meaningful work
  • Create and seek new possibilities for excitement and adventure
  • Overcome obstacles, mental blocks, and criticism to seize dreams

What a beautiful book! I eagerly bought a copy tonight for two reasons: 1) It will help my voyage back into a more spiritual mindset, and 2) I want to support Lori, her amazing writing, and Tiny Buddha in general.

I can’t wait to go to work on Monday, print it up, and bind it so I have a handy copy to read without having to lug around my laptop. 🙂

Lori Deschene

Thanks Thomas! I’m so glad you liked it, and I really appreciate your support!

Yvette Uhlmann

Lori, this book is a great companion when I flop down on the couch and want some relaxation-slash-inspiration. I’ve always enjoyed your writing, and it’s nice to have it beautifully organized on paper to enjoy without tech distractions. Thank you for making this available!

Lori Deschene

Thank you Thomas! I put all my heart into writing, and I’m so glad you enjoy it.

Ian

Thank you for this. You are a very important person to me. What you do is of the greatest possible value. I will find a way to buy this, even though I don’t have a credit acrd.

Susanstromnm

I would love to get the book in hard copy. Is there some way I can order it & mail you a check, rather than to order an e-book on-line?

Lori Deschene

Hi Ian,

Can you please email me at email(AT)tinybuddha.com? I’m sure we can work something out. Thank you!

Lori

Lori Deschene

Hi Susan,

Unfortunately, this eBook isn’t available in hard copy, though I will have a different book in stores at the end of the year. I will post announcements when that one’s available!

Kathy

Was so hoping for a hard copy book.

Thomas Hochmann

I think I saw Lori mention that she’s working on a physical printed book for the near future… In the case of this book, I eagerly printed out a copy and bound it at work (I work at a UPS Store and we have a Unibind machine), so I have a nice, sturdy printed version to read. It was worth the effort so I can flop down on the couch and enjoy! 🙂

Lori Deschene

Thank you Thomas! Yes, I will have a physical book in stores at the end of the year. I’m sorry that this book isn’t available in hard copy, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!

Elizabeth

Just bought this and sent the pdf to my Kindle. I’m looking forward to reading it! I’m happy to support you and the site. I feel like I’ve gotten so much your posts.

JFPisa

Ditto on the hard copy. I will certainly purchase one…all good things to those who wait.

Lori Deschene

Hi there,

Unfortunately, there will not be a hard copy of this particular book available. This is a compilation of the most popular posts I have written for the site, with 5 extra posts that have not been published here. This one will only be available as an eBook, however, I will have a different book available in hard copy at the end of the year.

Thanks for reading =)

I have a NOOK but don’t know how to send an ebook to it. I have never been on your site but found it while looking up namaste from my yoga class. I would love to get the book. Please tell me how. Thanx, jlawr48

Lori Deschene

Hi Jayne,

Thanks so much for the note! This eBook downloads as a PDF file, so you should be able to read it on a computer or iPad once you purchase it. I found this article about accessing PDF files on Nooks:

Dyanne Gavin

Hi Lori,
I don’t have any credit cards anymore. I’m an unemployed CA school teacher. Actually, even a literacy expert. However, our budget only allows for inexpensive “newbies” right out of college. I’m really quite depressed but “Little Budha “always helps. Thanks for your lovely work.

Lori Deschene

Hi Dyanne,

I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been feeling depressed, but I’m glad Tiny Buddha has helped. I am going to email you, if that’s alright with you….

Lori

Dyanne Gavin

Lori,
I would be honored to receive an email from you.

Eduardo

Any chance you can sell a kindle version of it?

Philip

Greetings from Malaysia, Lori. I just bought your book and feel that it’s money well spent. Gonna print it out and start reading. I love all your writings, look forward to more!

Lori Deschene

Thanks so much, Philip! I hope you enjoy it. =)

Boalove

hi! This has become one of my favorite websites for inspiration, especially when I am feeling like the world is coming to an end for me.  Unfortunately, I am a pessimistic person. I don’t know why. I worry alot, i complain alot, and I get upset easily! i hope that with this website, it can change me to become a carefree, worryfree, happy person 🙂

Lori Deschene

I’m so glad! I understand that instinct to worry. If I don’t take the time to clear my mind through meditation or yoga, I worry excessively. It takes a very conscious effort for me to maintain a sense of inner calm. It helps me to remember that we are really quite similar. We all struggle with the same things, and we can all help each other if we’re willing to be honest.

Alexandra

it can only be sold in the US?

Lori Deschene

Hi Alexandra,

This is an eBook, so it can be sold anywhere. You receive it as a PDF file, through email. Let me know if you have any problems!

Lori

Summer

I just purchased your ebook and am excited to read it and take it all in.  At almost 40, I am finally working on & learning how to be me (figuring out who I am to start – and not shaping myself to what I think other’s expect or want).  It’s not an easy process, but the little successes I have had have made it all worthwhile.  Your website has been a huge help for this growth, thank you!

Lori Deschene

Thanks for the note, Summer! I’m glad to hear Tiny Buddha has been helpful to you. I find that I continually discover new pieces of what it means to really be me. It’s really helped me to focus on the process–that growth is an ongoing journey, not a destination. I hope you enjoy the eBook. =)
