Life has its ups and downs. Yet we keep growing, get older and have more experience.
I am curious about the thoughts of my fellow users on what essentially fills them with hope and a sense of purpose. How do they keep that “flame” burning? Right now, for me, it happens to be this longing to see more of what i can really do, learn and experience life with the time i have left and create meaning. I believe that life is so precious. Thats my inner flame and what keeps me going.
Care to share yours? 🙂

I am stumped.
The honest answer is this girl who I have met. I am unhappily married with two kids.
She is really pretty, great company and makes my heart sing.
I want to be with her every single day.
No, I have not cheated as am filing for divorce.April 7, 2014 at 8:27 am #54411BruceWayneParticipantAn intriguing question to ask Jess.
I believe my answer is quite similar to yours; I want to see what I am truly capable of if I devote my time and energy into what needs to be done. I work hard everyday because one day in the future, I can have a life which was only possible because I’m putting the time in now to make it happen. At this point I should mention I am a student, to help put things in context.
What is my real inner light? I have an idea of the type of man I want to be. I do believe that I want to make the most out of every oppurtunity, and to attract like-minded people into my life. I have some self-work I need to improve on to make myself a true dark knight.
All things come in due time. I realize I cant do everything at once, because that leads to a loss of focus. So what keeps my “flame” lit? Because when I work hard, I get results, I have proven that too myself. There will be up’s and down’s, but when you fall, you get back up.

I try to be more subdued and I sometimes even decide to just give up, but that never lasts. Mind you, burning brightly and being enthusiastic isn’t always such a great thing, because I can still lack goals and a sense of purpose. Most of the time I don’t know what I’m doing, but I do that very enthusiastically 🙂

I believe that in finding your inner light lays down the foundation in finding your purpose in life because if your cant find yourself within yourself then you cant really find your purpose. Some people like myself are very sensitive to surrounding energies and thus affects emotional well-being. i like to surround myself with positivity and like to be in a neutral place when i need to think. I find it really hard to find my inner light when we are living in such a fast-paced and demanding society. maybe someone could give some tips in how to make time for reflection and meditation.
