I find myself saying ‘sorry’ a lot to people lately just over small things in daily conversation, and was wondering if anyone else does this, or knows how to break the habit?
A brief relationship seems to be coming to an end, i’m not sure if this is the cause of it or whether it’s something deeper to do with my past. The relationship is ending on mutual terms so no reason for me to feel guilty.

I meditate and believe in having a perfect soul – so I know that I have nothing to feel sorry about! I wonder if feeling sorry is connected to the ego? Any ideas welcome.

Thanks so much. I love this website!

    Hey PandaPeach,

I do it too sometimes basically because I want the conversation to end.

What you can do is start thinking about anything at the point when there is a time to say sorry. Then come back to a person and say Okay.

Also, sometimes it is okay to say sorry so people can feel not taken granted for but if you doing a lot as stated by you. Try the method. Basically thinking before speaking analogy going on.

May be because you don`t consider making mistakes as pure right to you.
Forget about why you are saying sorry, it is probably back to your early childhood.
Just become aware of your right to make mistakes, and never apologize unless it`s a must or you hurt someone.

Practice it, it may take sometime, but you`re gonna improve within a few weeks if you start today 🙂

Thanks for your replies. That is very helpful. Yes we are all human and make mistakes ! And we also cannot change what’s happened in the past. I will practice not saying sorry so much and keeping in the present
