Dear Jorge:
I like your message and how you made it simple and clear to understand in three short paragraphs.
My thoughts elaborating on your post:
People do lose themselves in all the noise, and when it comes down to it, our own mental noise, our automatic thoughts, reacting to the outside noise, reacting to what people say with thoughts like:
What did I do wrong?
What should I say to make this person happy?
Is this person going to shame me? What do I say to prevent it?
Maybe this person doesn’t like me. Make her like me.
Etc.
And instead of getting caught up in these reactive thoughts, the thinker can … think differently:
What is happening here?
What is motivating the people around me?
Am I being disrespected or abused here?
It is okay if this person doesn’t like me. I don’t like some people. Neither is bad for not liking anyone.
Etc.
