I enjoy writing in my journal first thing in the morning, right near a window, when it’s quiet and I’ve yet to get into the day. As for blogging or writing something that I know will be published, it really depends on when I’ll be able to focus best. As long as I’m in a space where I feel comfortable and free from distractions, I’m good to go!
Anytime on the weekends. I don’t know hwy, I just can’t seem to write anything good during the week. When I’m relaxed on Saturdays and Sundays I am able to produce good Literature.

I gave up my day job to write. It’s been worth it. I developed a discipline to do it throughout the day and the evening. It took a while to develop this practice. My best writing time is between 11 am and 3 pm. But I’m thinking about writing most of the time. I just started a new novel, and I’m playing with it in my mind…how I would like to lead into it, regardless of what else I’m doing.
I love to write and I do my best at night. Not just the evening, but into the late hours. I love that everyone is asleep and I have the night just to myself. And when the frogs and night birds and insects sing and my window is open, letting in a cool breeze… that’s my Zen. And if the gods lessen my carpal tunnel pain, then it is the best!
Morning. I get clear ideas when I first rise, so I take notes on them if I can’t get to my journal. But, throughout the day, when I set time aside, once I warm up a bit, I can write all day. My writing at night is often different….a bit more vulnerable…carries the flavor of the day. My morning writing makes the flavor of my day. xo S
