Participanthey, listen to your inner voice.
You picked this course for a reason. It was something you could relate to. It made sense to you. You felt it will have a good outcome.
So finish what you’ve started.
We all are students of life..the more we learn, the more enriched our life becomes.
Moreover, develop a strong sense of curiosity for the subject. You will find ways to extract knowledge from wherever it is available.
You have your whole life ahead of you to do the things you love, to follow your ambitions.
Think of how overwhelming it would be if you could manage your passion for singing and study for your course simultaneously.
And if its not happening, its alright to do one thing at a time 🙂
Even if its pursuing Robotics later on in the future.
Make the most of your life.
Believe that you can do what you want to do.
Make your own pathways.
Be positive.
Have patience.
Be good to yourself 🙂Hope this helps.

ParticipantHello Phillu,
I’m also a college student and I am going through same problems as you are. My ambition is to become an engineer. I really like mathematics(though I am not very good at it!). I am kinda confused what to do but still hopeful. I even once considered dropping out but later I realized that’s not what I want. I don’t want to give up my dream ever. So, let’s just do our best and see what happens!
Best of luck!

ParticipantI found in college and law school that I did better and was happier when I had something I loved outside of class where I could clear my head. For me, it was Ultimate Frisbee. We played on Sunday afternoons, and I made myself study up until it was time to get ready. I ran around for an hour and a half, and I could focus better when I returned to study that night.
Maybe try taking a break to practice your singing, or work out, or whatever makes you happy.
Stay positive! Best of luck!November 3, 2013 at 3:00 pm #44787babylaughter
ParticipantSchool was always tough for me from elementary to now. I failed a ton of classes and thought about dropping out programs many times. However, with tenacity, dreams do come true. Every time I failed a class, I took it over….Like Edison and his light bulb. Edsion said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10000 ways that won’t work.” Now, I have my MS and a few other degrees and certifications. I continue to work on certifications. I continue to fail and I continue to question if I want all of this badly enough to suffer through it all. “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts,” said Winston Churchill. With that thought, I trudge on and hope that you will choose the best path for yourself as well. The results never look the way we think they will, so it’s important to enjoy the everyday process; because once you get to the end, another door with more roads await. Better enjoy what you have now. Find something, some aspect of your every day life to make going to class something you can smile about! Even if you have to talk to your classmates in a funny accent to confuse them to make yourself laugh or if you have to find diligent study partners to make study time more enjoyable. You can record the lectures on an audio device, use nice/ colorful pens to write your notes, study somewhere fun…It always helps me to study at a Starbucks. As Aurora notes, it’s important to take breaks so that you won’t burn out. Good luck!
