    The victim now doubts everything about themselves, their thoughts and opinions, their ideas and ideals. They become co-dependent on the abuser for their reality.

    This part really resonated with me. Looking back now, I think I grew up with older siblings who showed a lot of narcissistic traits such as:
    -inflated sense of their own importance
    -deep need for admiration

    I read you, in the above shorter post, this is why I recommended (another thread) the ass kicking in next Family Reunion.

    Ugh I have just begun the process of unpicking myself from this web.
    Painful.

    The self-blame and doubting I think is the hardest part.
