    Dear Learning:

Good to read your post! I read it earlier in the day but not as attentively as I did just now. Like you, I listen/ read much better when my brain is available for the words of another. My own mind chatter has to be quiet so I can absorb another person’s words and the emotions in a post. I can tell, by reading your post, that indeed you practiced Mindfulness for a while now and you know what it is about.

About the vast, limitless (so I hear) universe- I can’t conceive of anything that has no beginning and no end, space wise or time wise. What a mind boggling concept, for me. No beginning and no end…

I ask please share what helps you to be more mindful, aware, better listener, and more forgiving. Oh and if you want to share your thoughts about our universe as well I’m all ears.

One thing that sometimes helps me to be more forgiving is to remember that the universe “I” (any of us) live in, the only one “I” have access to, is the one that I am creating between my ears (so to speak). If I fill mine with hate, resentment, and bitterness, then that is the universe that I must live in. That said, it is not an easy task keeping the flower bed weeded.

True. But can you conceive of a universe that had a beginning and has an end? What came before it? What is that called? What comes after? What will that be called? What exists outside of its boundaries? What do we call that? I cannot conceive of a universe without a beginning or end either, but neither can I conceive of a universe with a beginning or end. Which helps to remind me of how limited this brain and mind I have created are.
