    Dear Clare:

    I would like to understand better before I give you any advice, therefore I ask:

    1. How is your host mother being “rude and cold” toward you?

    2. Did you talk with your parents about your desire to return early, and if so, what was their response?

    Hello Anita,

    I have been talking to my host family and we have shared a few nice moments. They are not as bad as I thought they were. The host mother is no longer being much warmer towards me. To answer your other question, I also talked to my parents and they are okay with me coming back early and just want me to be happy.

    Dear Clare:

    It is scary to be away from home but if your host family is nice to you, if you are honest and kind to them and they are to you, and if you can continue to communicate with your parents while there, take advantage of this opportunity to live elsewhere for a few months, to look for and discover the positive parts of this experience, look for the positives. I hope to read from you again.
