“Don’t be impressed by the content writing and poet thing.. sometimes something creative is born. I don’t know yet if what I write is good but I am getting paid for it“- getting paid for your Writing is HUGE!

Dear Ik09:

I was pleased to see that you posted part of one of your poems earlier this morning but I wanted to postpone the pleasure of reading it till after I answer other threads,  and then take my time to read and comment line by line:

“the small chest rose and fell with the greatest strength imaginable, the doctors fought alongside her until she was momentarily stable, The battle raged on but in front of the opponent all attempts seemed shoddy, Her lungs worked hard till there were no more breaths left in that tiny body, It wasn’t the loss of just one family, Unheard of ever before-never recorded never billed, but wiped cities and looted countries in one blow, the world came together for this terrifying show, solutions came forth, but lives were lost, nobody knows what it was worth, why the innocent had to pay such a heavy cost?”-

– my goodness!  I was going to copy one line or sentence at a time and comment, but this excerpt of your poem turned out to be a page turner for me, so to speak: I was captivated right from the start and wanted to know what’s next and next, so I kept reading, taken by the power of your wording. I did not know that a poem can be captivating this way!  And the topic of the poem is very meaningful and very relevant (the war in Ukraine comes to mind).  I am in awe of the poet.. I didn’t know that you can express yourself this way.. !
