Dear Hannah:
Depression is very common, millions of people in the U.S. According to one online source, 121 million people around the world suffer from depression. I was diagnosed with major depression and told by the psychiatrist that my prognosis was poor and that I will need psychiatric medications for the rest of my life.
I’ve been off the psych drugs for three and a half years and currently, I am not depressed. And so, it is not necessarily a life sentence.
