    Dear thedifferentgamer0:

He told me he didn’t feel connected to me and I find it so hard to believe considering we talked all the time and engaged in such good conversations“- reads like you did connect but for some reason (not the reason he gave you) he decided to end the relationship before meeting in-person.

Once people decided to end relationships, many will give any reason that’s convenient, a reason that will not require explaining or negotiating.

There could be any one of multiple possible real reasons for his decision. Your guessing is better than mine  because you know more about him.

(I hope to read back from you. I will soon be away from the computer for a few hours).

That is true, maybe you’re right. I’m just we curious as to what the actual reason is but I can’t seem to figure what it is.

I’m trying not to let this upset me too much but it’s just so disheartening knowing that we were planning so many things a couple days before he decided to end it. He even mentioned how he told his friends about me.

Since he was the one who ended things I decided to be friendly about it it. I didn’t say much during our conversation and decided that it this is for me, then nothing can stop it.

I just can’t slip this out of my mind and I hate being inside my head  about conversations we have had and things I know about him. Such as what he’s probably doing right now… what his plan is for the rest of the night. Things like that.

I do have his number and he’s on my socials as I haven’t removed him from anything yet. We ended on decent terms and it seemed friendly. He wished me luck on my next endeavors (on finding my person) and stated how we can still be friends – which hurt.

    Dear thedifferentgamer0:

I am sorry that you did not get to meet your online friend in person.

Often our on  line persona is a distillation of our best bits plus what we aspire to be. So we can feel that a face to face meeting can be frightening & or disappointing. its like if all the photos of you were of you in makeup & airbrushed & then that person sees you with no make up & bed hair and dog breath the reality does not match up to the fantasy!

Six weeks ago this person was not part of your  everyday life. Concentrate on your offline life and I can almost guarantee that in another 6 weeks you will have a different perspective on things.

    best wishes

    Dear thedifferentgamer0:

It seems like you got carried away with the online communication with him farther than he got carried away. I am wondering: what did he write to you that was the most promising, in regard to your hope that a serious romantic relationship will follow the online communication?
