Hey guys, hope you all are feeling well 🙂
I have some sort of problem and I’m desperate because I can’t find solution anywhere and I thought maybe someone here at Tinybuddha has the same problem or knows something about it.
Since this last semester started, there were days were I would feel so tired that I didn’t move at all in the whole afternoon, leaving chores unattended and homework undone, even though i felt the pressure to do so. I live alone and I’m going trough college, I exercise regularly and try to eat well and occasionally slip in some pizza or a burger, I do smoke but this hasn’t been an energy problem that I know, sleep well and stuff but still there are more days when I feel tired and unwilling to do stuff. I went to my doctor and nothing happened so I went to a psychologist over my Mother’s suggestion and they say It’s something emotional.
If anyone has been trough the same and came trough, I will intensely appreciate the help you guys! 🙂

You sound like a pretty chipper person, but that is hard to “analyze” from this one post. What I can read is that your fatigue comes from nowhere, or not from things you could pinpoint exactly. So maybe go see another doctor, check your Vitamin B12 and other things until it’s clear that your problems are not physical.
If there’s nothing to find, it is possible that it comes from a mild depression, or depressed phase. I myself have experienced this when I had depression. But it wasn’t just a few days, it was more and more and at some point all the time. So seeing a psychologist might be a good thing. Maybe there is a traumatic event or a stress situation in your life that you are not dealing with? That can cause such issues.I wish you all the best!
July 21, 2014 at 3:05 pm #61432Abraham RodríguezParticipantI’m thinking it’s not physical because I did take antihistaminics (I thought it was allergic rhinitis), multivitaminics, homeopathic medicine and stuff but anyway I’m taking your advice and visiting yet another doctor n.n
Maybe I am in a depressed phase. I have been having some problems, loses and big changes in my life, maybe that’s what’s getting me all effd up.
Thanks for your advice! a big hug!
July 30, 2014 at 7:03 pm #62263MaryParticipantAbraham, you may be experiencing what I’ve been dealing with….adrenal fatigue. Especially when we’re under a lot of stress, it eventually depletes the adrenals, causing, what I call, crushing tiredness. There’s nothing I can do but give into it. Most “mainstream” doctors don’t recognize it but there is help. And, depression can also be a big cause….something else I battle. Good luck on your journey.

I hope you are feeling better. Yes at one point I felt days of crushing fatigue as Mary describes. I spent about four days mostly in bed. Mostly sleeping. I looked into adrenal fatigue. I did not have a way to improve this except rest. I did remove some stressors. At the time, I was quite down but not diagnosed as depressed. I had relationship, job and me issues. Am doing very, very well lately.

I suffered for 4 years with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/M.E. I have recently recovered (am still recovering). I am not assuming you have this illness, but don’t let the doctors believe it’s “in your head”. There are many factors which contribute and act as a trigger to CFS such as Glandular fever (Mononucleosis) in American English. I recommend a brilliant book called From Fatigued to Fantastic which covers topics such as sleep, vitamins and complementary therapies. Don’t give up hope, and don’t worry, you will recover, but you need to adapt your lifestyle and slow down, rest more and say no to things!
Best wishes,

Hi Abraham
Hey, once you have confirmed that there is no physical cause for your symptoms, could you look into trialling chinese acupuncture ? Acupuncture can be quite therapeutic for adrenal fatigue, tiredness, hormonal imbalances, emotional stressors etc in good hands.
Are you getting enough sun ?
Hope you feel better soon.
