Dear Glenda, fair enough for stating your case. I do feel though that religion and spiritual practices are very personal – with the advent of communication systems and globalization in the 20th century particularly, it is very hard to contain anything really in a highly inter-connected world. Even before the 20th century, Christianity was practiced in Asia – though under much duress particularly in Japan from 16th to 19th century. The important point here is the freedom for someone to practice what feels right for them (not harming anyone or imposing on others though) and to to speak their mind. I may not agree with you but I do respect your thoughts as you may have your reasons or personal opinions for the above.
PS: I am not a Buddhist really.
