Making the same mistake over and over again is like learning to fly and failing. “If the wings don’t make you fly, it’s time to try something different.” Unknown.
Ever get tired of making the same mistakes in life over and over again? You keep ending up in bad relationships, you keep making bad lifestyle choices, you’re always having the same arguments with your family. Well it’s time for a change and I will give you some advice on how to do that in just a brief moment. First how would it feel if anxiety and stress never existed? Let’s just say your world would be a much happier place wouldn’t it? That’s where avoiding the same mistake over and over again comes in handy because you avoid all that excess anxiety and stress. So back to making mistakes. Mistakes are a common thing in life but not learning from them is even worse. So let me give you some tips on avoiding the same mistake over and over again.
1. Think before you do. This is very important as it avoids falling into the same routines, the same habits and it also avoids spending money where it’s not needed. So when you decide that something is a good idea think of the consequences first.
2. Plan and prepare. Also very important. Planning and preparing can be anything from deciding on what you are going to do to avoid guilt and shame in the process to making sure it will work out mentally, physically, emotionally and financially. And when you’re not sure ask yourself “how is this going to benefit me?”
3. Review. So how you do this is by going over the idea again and making sure that it is all good and when you are happy we go to.
4. Do. So you’re now happy with your plan, now it’s time to take action!! You’re confident you’ve gone through the steps and if need be you’ve asked for someone else’s opinion and you are now happy so go through with it and enjoy the results.
And if you’re feeling stressed out about all the steps you have to take don’t worry. Take a break if need be and go back to it because it can be a lot to take in. Sometimes it means going out of your comfort zone as well and that can be very stressful but remember just take it one step at a timeJune 23, 2016 at 3:01 am #107997Nina SakuraParticipantI liked your points and there are a few I have learned over the years too – have patience with yourself. Learn to enjoy one’s own company but work on developing social skills as well. Last of all, do not over think – a lot of our problems are compounded by over-analysis on every small detail. However one can’t find the logical answer for everything that happened in the past. In the end, one needs to differentiate between which bridges to cross and which to burn.

I like your essay. I would make one change in the order of things: like you wrote: think before you act, consider consequences, plan and prepare, then Do and as you do, review, do and review at the same time. Remain flexible so to examine the results of what you are doing, the results in actual things accomplished and how you experience life emotionally as a result of the doing and accomplishments.
