As always, thank you, Anita. Something is telling me to be patient. Every time I sit down and really think about the situation, the words “be patient” always surface. I don’t know if it’s wishful thinking on my part or if something greater than myself is intervening. I would like it to be the latter. 🙂
February 17, 2016 at 7:26 pm #96374AnonymousGuestDear Serendipityj:
I like patience in any case. Patience is an important virtue, and it makes you more of the loving person that you are. My goodness, i am thinking what a fortunate woman she would be, the one wise enough to accept your love. I hope it will be her since you are very interested in her. But regardless of her accepting your love (and again, I do hope she does), you are still the loving man that you are.
Please do post to let me know if and when she receives the card…

February 17, 2016 at 7:31 pm #96376SerendipityjParticipantI will let you know! I’ve been thinking about unique ways to let her know I care without being pushy. I know sending a card isn’t necessarily unique, but it has become something of the past it seems. Thanks for all of your kind words. 🙂
February 17, 2016 at 7:59 pm #96386AnonymousGuestYou are welcome, Serendipityj: it so happens you are those things I said. Till your next post, take good care of you!
anitaFebruary 29, 2016 at 6:14 pm #97670SerendipityjParticipantWell, she never acknowledged the card. I don’t know if she never received it or just didn’t want to say anything. She has initiated texts so it’s not like she’s ignoring me. We are still only texting about once a week for maybe 30-60min. I’m getting frustrated and am starting to wonder if she’ll ever come around. I’m not really sure what to do now.
February 29, 2016 at 6:52 pm #97674AnonymousGuestDear Serendipityj:
You didn’t ask her if she got the card then… I can’t imagine a person with a heart not acknowledging the loving gesture you made, of sending that card.
I understand your frustration. It gets tiring to hope and wait and hope and wait. It is human nature to need some reward for our waiting and hoping and loving. As I wrote in another thread, or meant to write, we are not “saints”- that is being okay with giving (love and time and patience and hope) with no expectation of return. Self interest is always a motivation and naturally so.
What to do then, you ask yourself, not sure what to do… I wonder what it is that you will do…

February 29, 2016 at 6:57 pm #97676SerendipityjParticipantNo, I didn’t ask if she received it. I didn’t want to put her on the spot. I sent it not expecting a response I guess. This whole situation is tiring. Especially when I don’t know where I stand or what’s going to happen. Special people like her don’t come along too often, you know? She’s still hung up on her ex and that’s the hardest part.
February 29, 2016 at 7:35 pm #97678AnonymousGuestDear Serendipityj:
A special person would notice, after some time, would notice that you are special too. I would like to think that special people notice other special people. Wishful thinking, perhaps?
