    I’m sorry to hear about your struggles. Anxiety is very serious and can infiltrate your life a lot. It is very normal to get anxious when you realize that soon you will be pushed (so to speak) into this big, scary world. I would say, maybe go see a counselor if the anxiety is really bad. If not, surely finish your degree because even if you might not like it now, you may want to have a job in that area later. If you can, maybe go travel after you’re done with your studies.

    Hey

    A few tips :

    1) Start meditating

    2) Take a break – you need it . 5 years is a very long time . Go on a vacation , a retreat , or maybe a social sabbatical – just to refresh yourself socially.

    3)If you however , feel that work indeed is really boring – start building a life that accommodates for both work and fun. A healthy mix is required and you might end up having fun at work – because you’re having fun when you’re off work too !

    4) Please consider volunteering – it really does feel good

    I think a vacation and a break are definitely needed. I am so close but I also need to relax and just calm down. I plan to go to the world cup this summer, so that should be fun. I need to finish this semester though because quitting mid semester does not seem like the right thing to do. Also I have tried a counselor but she told me relax after 2 sessions and come back at the end of the semester. Then I saw the psychiatric doctor (for possible medication) and he said i should take a break and think and plan something out. also presribed me somthing because i asked for it. (just in case) So yea… Thanks for the input I will try out your guys’ ideas! I

    Ask yourself this: what do you truly know? In essence, nothing really. Sorry, that’s not meant to demean you. In fact when things go awry for me it’s what I ask myself. I will never know it all and it’s surprisingly pleasant to know. With that knowledge you can go about your life merrily. Don’t take everything so seriously. Have fun, enjoy the new experiences and laugh and smile along the way. Even in your current uncertainty you should find some peace as it may lead to a revelation, and perhaps your true destination.

    As far as time + money invested in school goes if you view it from a lifetime perspective you’ll find that it is but a small leg of your journey. The funds you owe can be relieved if you have the belief in your own success. So take your time, don’t rush and venture to where your joy is.
