June 25, 2016 at 6:08 pm #108246Daniel C.ParticipantHi Anita,
All I know is it surfaced at the end of 9th grade around exam time.June 25, 2016 at 11:55 am #108207Daniel C.ParticipantHi Anita,
Thank you! I should be getting one within the next 2 or so weeks.
I would absolutely love to talk about it now.
I been going to a therapist which has helped a lot. I can get through about 75-85% of the issues I encounter. Which is much, much better than before.
June 25, 2016 at 10:35 am #108198Daniel C.ParticipantHi Anita,
First off, I’m really impressed you remembered me. I wish I had that talent.I do still attend that same private school as before. Only now the difference is that in October I can start driving myself there instead of taking the bus. Another new development is that I am getting a dog. A German Shepherd actually. This was my own idea to help curb my anxiety.
I will have to agree 110% with what you said there. It’s probably the most accurate analysis of my situation, well, ever.
Thank you.
February 19, 2016 at 10:54 am #96496Daniel C.ParticipantDo you know of any good resources for Cognitive Therapy?
Thank you!February 18, 2016 at 8:39 am #96405Daniel C.ParticipantThat tends to be hard when I have GAD. (Sorry, forgot to mention that before)
February 18, 2016 at 7:52 am #96398Daniel C.ParticipantI also am concerned about college. And work. I fear that my grades aren’t what they need to be to be a mechanical engineer.
February 16, 2016 at 6:36 pm #96239Daniel C.ParticipantYeah, I might be getting some drugs to treat the GAD, so that might help.
I have an issue with just getting refocused. I have tried the Pomodoro method, with limited success. It doesn’t help that I have issues writing english papers.

February 14, 2016 at 8:53 am #96012Daniel C.ParticipantI think it’s because they’re both so used to seeing it there that they don’t even read it. Thats just a guess though. They’re generally pretty respectful when it comes to other things we talk about, so that’s why I say that.
February 14, 2016 at 8:44 am #96008Daniel C.ParticipantHi Anita,
Thank for responding, and I will be sure to keep you updated on what goes on with this in the future.Basically, my parents have walked in on me checking my Skype or social media when I was meant to be doing something else, homework mostly.
As of right now my door is open, because my room gets quite cold. I prefer to leave it closed, but the lock doesn’t work. There is a bright yellow note on my door that says “Please Knock First”, however this is generally ignored.

Could you please tell us what you’re going through? We would love to help you but we need more details.October 21, 2015 at 6:30 am #85766Daniel C.ParticipantDear Anita,
Sorry for taking so long to respond!
Generally, what works for me, is music. Especially while studying or doing homework. -
