    Some threads live such short lives. Dying in their prime. How sad! When they could live such a long, fulfilled life.

    This forum suits me because I talk to myself a lot anyway. 🙂

    That’s a nice story re your stepdad, mentioning about giving even when you have little money. I’ve heard it said that the rich are stingy and the poor are the most generous.
    My father would put 10% of his income on the plate when it came round at Church on Sunday.( and he was never rich) I’ve never lived up to that kind of generosity.

    If it hurts to be generous, don’t be generous.
    Make your own life, your own friends apart from your boyfriend. Don’t make him the centre of your world.
    Other people can’t make you happy.
    Try to be happy by yourself.

    More an artistic temperament than artistic talent 🙂

    I remember my mother’s funeral. How profound it was. How your mind just stops fussing over minor grievances, petty issues. Any petty prejudices you might have with family or friends who are present at the funeral.
    How precious life is. How short life is. Don’t waste it worrying about climbing the ladder of success or trying to compete with your neighbour. Just live with respect and awe. be grateful for all you have to be grateful for. Stop worrying!

    I love fetta. But what I really love recently is Margarita Pizza. We go to this restaurant near the beach and they serve them. With a tall glass of beer, they are exceptional!

    I’ll answer first.
    Well, sometimes I think a divorce would be the best thing but I don’t have anyone to take my place.
    Hell, I’ve grown attached to me after all these years. As Paul Simon says,
    “Still crazy, after all these years!”
    As much as I get tired of my own incompetence and poor decision-making, I treasure those intimate moments spent alone. (oops going into weird territory, better stop)
