Hey Glet,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my website. I’m glad you like it. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
You know growing up I never aspired to be a writer but realized later in life that writing helps you get your ideas, thoughts, feelings and emotions out. And since I have a passion for helping others, I figured why not blog and reach people from all around the world (this is more personal).
Just want to share this with you:
You don’t have to “good” at something before you try it. Just do it. And it doesn’t have to be writing, per se.

The first step is to be honest with yourself, that’s what you did. Piggybacking on Matic’s questions, I would like to ask how you know you want more than love if you are not in love in the first place? I’m no expert in this field, but just like Matic, I want to pose the questions that will get you to think about your situation and perhaps help you find answers.
It’s important to communicate with your partner about how you are feeling because unexpressed emotions will never die and will manifest themselves in uglier ways in the future. Sometimes you have to have one of “those” conversations to clear your conscience, and also to be fair to him.

It’s funny how the Universe works eh? Things happen for a reason. Thanks for the feedback.
In regards to calories, I used to focus on counting them and stress the importance of doing so. I understand that some people would benefit from counting calories because of their special health conditions. However, my view has changed over the years because I think many people obsess about it and eventually stress over meeting their numbers. Eating shouldn’t be a math problem and shouldn’t be complicated. I may be wrong but I think this is mainly a first world problem, definitely a big issue in the US.
Keep up the good fight! I’m sure you are inspiring others on your journey as well.

I am sorry about all that has happened to you. Life throws curve balls at everyone. What’s happened has happened, so it is your reaction that counts. This might be easier said than done but you have to let go of the past. Our source of unhappiness stems from our attachment to things and personal events. Take a couple of deep breaths and affirm that the past has no control over you. Mind over matter.

I started it about two years ago, sharing my knowledge and experiences about various topics in health that range from nutrition and exercise to consciousness and spirituality, definitely suitable for a young adult like yourself. Just wanted to start off by saying you are not alone. There are so many people out there who are feeling the same way you are feeling (including myself). Your inner voice is trying to tell you something – travel. If you can, definitely do so because you will be revitalize.
With that said, I want to share a quote with you:

What does true compassion mean to you?
I have also dreamt about having a small farm, away from the city (I’m from NYC). Being in nature helps me develop a sense of belonging, a sense of being, and a sense of peace. Perhaps one day you’ll turn your farm into a retreat and I can come visit haha.

I agree with you on the fact that once you become conscious and mindful (“enlightened”) of what’s real and what’s not, there is usually no going back. When you know better, you’ll do better.
Life was definitely simpler when we were younger – blissful, pure, innocent, untainted by society. Now it takes a journey of a thousand miles to un-condition our way of thinking. Some people are lucky to have “escape the matrix” while the majority are not so fortunate. I find myself moving towards a path that you have chosen to follow as well. Sometimes I feel bad for those that just live life with no idea of the reality, but then sometimes I feel jealous of them for living happily in oblivion. But as you have mentioned, that’s the path we chose.
As someone who dwells a lot in his mind, I believe that too much is not good for me. We are social beings after all, and thrive on togetherness. Since we are emotional creatures, how do you deal with feelings like loneliness and love if you don’t seek out anyone’s company? Do you think or fear that others will not understand you, hence the isolation?
I know these might be sensitive questions so please do not take it the wrong way. I’m just trying to understand.

I am relatively new to this forum and already see that you are an online presence here. I am sure many people already appreciate your contributions. May I ask when and what made you go through your transformation to living such an “enlightened” life?

It sounds like you are ready to start anew after you have reinvented yourself. I share a similar story in that I have decided about three years ago to reinvent myself. I did that by sort of isolating myself from my friends in a gradual process. Your true friends will understand what you are trying to do, so they will be there for you. You mentioned you occasionally speak to a few of your friends. Well I will assume those are your close ones. It is the quality of your friendships that matter, not the quantity.
Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use. -Earl Nightingale
After a period of isolation, it is definitely hard to jump back into social gatherings, etc. What I did was basically make conversation with strangers whenever I go outside (in the park, supermarket, cafe, etc). Little by little, you build your confidence in interacting with people again, and then you’ll be back on your feet again in no time. Also, I should mention being outside in nature (parks, shores, gardens, etc) is conducive to helping you relax, think less, and “flow naturally”.
As the saying goes, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Haha, I guess you can’t save everyone in the world. Keep doing what you do, and people will catch on. Perhaps one day she will see the light and go seek you out for help.
