My background is Muslim too.

While you are at work, just be Conscious to any thoughts that are related to i.

Slow by slow, recognition will happen that gossip, lie, taking advantage, trying to prove yourself etc… will be so visible. And that doesn’t mean that not work, you work as you do before yet, not to claim anything.

Most likely, if you these above, ego or survival instinct will hit, what if I lose my job, what if I don’t make enough money or get an promotion etc… , you have to give up all.

Just deeply know that how hard you try, if God doesn’t let you, it is not going to happen.

Only way to be one with everything, letting go to anything and everything you have, not physically (such as sell your house, leave your job or leave your family or do not take care of the body), but mentally, completely know that none of it belongs to you. Then you inevatibly dissolve, which is total surrendering.

No knowledge can pass trough there, because knowledge belongs to mind, which is your identity.

Ego is so sneaky. Even working on non duality or trying to see trough the illusion is the play of ego.

Because, there is an expectation such as i will drop the ego and see trough the illusion.

Attachment to ego is attachment to expectations. Good or bad. Doesn’t matter.

When one completely drops all the expectations, including enlightenment etc… The one dies.

And what remains is already pure beauty.

Ego = Action, Truth / what You really are = Effortlessness.

That’s why i say, all spiritual feel good or share the love stuff based on ego And fuel the ego.

As I said before, one can work on self improvement or spiritual feel good stuff, yet with one bad news, one life’s back to misery again.

Ego is suffering.

What You really are is already here. Closer than your jugular vein.

Begin with being aware of the thoughts every moment. When everything comes so much to you, say o God, I love you more then myself, this body belongs to you, and I give it back to you.

İf you do this, day by day there will be less you / separation. And when separation completely dissolves there will be no one to contemplate or speak or learn or work on or expect about non duality.

And that’s what non duality is, genuinely not knowing.

Humans are virus meaning is not as body, but as who thinks they are separate then other things.

Moreover, doctor can save a pet yet and kill it at the same time, like animals. Such as, cat can Save a kid from attack of dog, yet crocodile or shark can kill a human being.

That’s why realization is important, body and mind are one with universe. İf there is no water, body dies, if there is no air body dies, etc…

When you “wish” that mean is, there is an expectation, which belongs to ego / attachment.

But, everything is already what it is supposed to be.

And that doesn’t mean don’t care whatever happens or do care whatever happens.

That’s actually meaning is simply act in moment.

İf there is a striving, help. But do not imagine the striving. İf you are hurt in moment, feel the pain, yet do not imagine the pain, which will come at future or was at past.

Past and future are just an imagination. What only real is Now.
