Danielle LynnParticipant
WRITING! Love it.
Would you mind showing me your blog? Or what you write? I’d love to see 🙂
Well, I figured out what mattered to me by stepping back. I was too close to what I was doing and trying TOO HARD to figure out what the heck I wanted to do. In other words, I was getting in my own way.
Once I relaxed and opened myself up to being more receptive, what truly mattered to me started to become crystal clear.
I can tell you, one of the things I’ve had to learn to let go of is C-O-N-T-R-O-L! Once I did that, it made my life easier in a lot of ways.
Danielle LynnParticipantI think sometimes people get so caught up in finding or exploring their purpose they forget to live in the now.
I know – I’m often guilty of that!
I find the more I stay open and receptive, a clear path always guides me to where I’m supposed to go. And then I can spend more time enjoying the process. 🙂
Danielle LynnParticipantI have all that I need for I am whole
Danielle LynnParticipantAbsolutely 🙂 I love blogging too – but I think copy deserves its own section.
I just realized I could probably bring this up in the ‘suggestion area’
Danielle LynnParticipant@Nat I find that beautiful. It’s wonderful you have a pool of inspiration to draw from! Ironically, I was dealing with a block myself the other day. So instead of fighting the energy I went with it and ended up creating this post http://theclearcopywriter.com/copywriting/what-to-do-when-you-dont-feel-like-writing/ When i re-read it I can practically feel the resistance in the writing slowly letting up to acceptance and purpose. It was an interesting experience! What is your blog? I’d love to take a look at what you write about.
@Sheila Very aptly put 🙂Danielle LynnParticipantThat’s very profound. I fully believe no action, event or person is ‘self contained.’ Meaning everything that happens is part of a bigger, beautiful picture. We’re just too close to it right now to see the whole tapestry.
What I like about your sentence, is that since everyone matters and everyone has their own part to play, there’s no room for jealousy or drama or a sense of someone taking from you. We each have what we’re meant to have, and playing the part we’re meant to play. We’re perfect for the specific role we’re playing.
Danielle LynnParticipantPaula, I subscribe to this belief. In fact, once you love what you do, the word “work” loses its conventional meaning!
I love to help and uplift people. If that’s too general, then I love to talk with people and help them expand and improve their lives in some way or another. I’m something of a people person. 🙂
I’ve put a lot of thought into how that applies to what I do (work-wise.) I feel blessed and fortunate to have the chance to work with so many amazing individuals and help them with their businesses.
What about you Paula? What’s something you love like crazy.
Danielle LynnParticipant@ Jacki Yes, I’m a copywriter and brand consultant 🙂 I think it’s fantastic you study copy to help you with your blogging. When I started learning copy, it really helped me tighten up my other writing as well.
Great idea about the ‘free writing’ when you sit in front of your computer. I find I have to use that exercise a LOT!
@ Midge That was beautifully put. I’m glad you have decided to share your writings with the world, I’ll bet you have a nice audience enjoying what you write!
@ Ken Using your writing power to bring good into the world – I love it. The fact that you’re passionate about it makes me think this must be a true calling for you as well.
Great stuff guys, it’s really inspiring to hear what motivates others to write. There were times when I first started that I was scared to write. It felt like I was baring my soul to the universe… and what if the universe didn’t like it?But after a while having a positive driving inspiration helped me push past the fear. My hope is if someone is reading this who struggles with writing anxiety, they’ll find a reason that resonates with them – and start filling up a blank page!
Keep ’em coming 🙂
Danielle LynnParticipantBeautiful stuff!
I love Lorena McKennitt
Here’s one of my favorites. Great for drawing/painting to.
Danielle LynnParticipantFor me, it was just small things – eating a bit less sugar each day, taking the time to walk or jog for 15 minutes – and loving myself as I am at this moment. (And every moment!)
I was able to drop about 30 pounds over the span of a year just doing those things. I’m still traveling the road to health, but it’s a happy route to be on.
April 5, 2013 at 2:08 pm in reply to: What time of day do you like to write? When are you most productive? #31244Danielle LynnParticipantWhenever the mood strikes me! I certainly enjoy light and sunshine when I write, so I’m probably more of a morning/early afternoon writer myself.
