Hi Libby,
I recommend The Emotionally Sensitive Person, by Karyn Hall.
Good luck 🙂
ChayaParticipantHi Senorita,
I would say that it makes the most sense to tell him the truth about your virginity. Living with a lie (or even a half-truth), in my experience, takes a lot of emotional energy. My grandfather once told me something profound – “If you tell the truth, you don’t need to remember the details of what you said”. Meaning, it’s much simpler to just speak the truth.
Good luck,

ChayaParticipantHi Reena,
I can share my own experience, as I’ve dated an ex a second time. We actually just broke up for the second time, and this time we’re both certain that we’re not for each other. Meaning, there was a reason that we broke up the first time, and it hadn’t changed when we started dating a second time. Regardless of the specifics of my situation, I would suggest some thinking about why you guys broke up in the first place. Ask yourself if anything’s changed since then. If things have, then you’re likely doing fine.

ChayaParticipantHi April,
When I draw/color/work on my crafts, my brain finds relief from the constant analytical thinking that I engage in every waking moment. The over analyzing is exhausting, and art gives me a break. Similar to what Quandra mentioned above, I can get lost in something that’s constructive and pleasant.

I’m in a similar situation, actually. I’ve made a string of bad decisions around men over the past 3 years, and it usually involved giving a guy (or guys) the wrong impression.
Not being sure of what I want is an issue for me too. What I try to do when a situation arises is to pause before taking an action. This gives me space to listen to what my Higher Power would have me do, instead of making self-willed decisions. I’m definitely not perfect at this, but I’m handling things much better than how I used to handle them.
Let me know if you’d like to hear more, because I’m definitely open to sharing.

ChayaParticipantHi Lucy,
I’m 23 and have been in the dating game for a while, so I have a lot of experience with boy drama. When it comes to mixed message and flirting and the like, I find that if a guy is seriously into me he’ll just be straightforward about it. Not to say that your guy isn’t, but maybe you can try just being straightforward with him? “I like you, dude!”
