InactiveI felt that this was a great post, especially for new users who dint have any experiences with tiny Buddha. Also, I’ve noticed that you’ve still been helping others in this site. Keep it up 👍.

GuestDear Reader:
Regarding #1: “Repeatedly linking to your products or services without actively participating in conversations constitutes spam.” Now I, anita, feels stupid because I was stupid. I admit it. I am okay with admitting it. I am humble enough to admit it. I didn’t SEE it and now I see it. Every time I responded to someone trying to sell something here on this forum, especially when NOT believing in what they were selling, I was stupid. Because the seller HAS TO engage in conversations here in order to promote their product or service. They have to, otherwise according to this guideline they are spamming.
So if a seller, last in my experience here was Saiisha, is not necessarily – and I suspect unlikely- to be sincerely interested in the exchange here but getting involved here as part of her efforts to sell, that is to separate me and you from our money. And every time I answered or conversed with such, i promoted what they were selling. For example, with Saiisha, I promoted the belief in reincarnation in which I do not believe. I promoted something I believe is not true and therefore harmful to people.
Needless to say, I will do no such thing in the future.

GuestDear Reader:
Regarding #5: not using profanity: on a couple of occasions I wrote something like “%$$##” I suppose this was not according to this guideline and I am fine with eliminating this future thing.
Regarding #4 and #8: keeping it respectful and positive- this is not as simple as it may sound. I will not call people names, of course, but someone out there is going to feel disrespected whenever I express a position that is not in line with theirs. Can’t help that and no amount of tip toeing around a subject is going to prevent someone feeling disrespected or someone feeling I am being negative. Plus sometimes I am negative.
Then there are people who are directly disrespectful and there are people (same people at different times) who are indirectly disrespectful, so it is a tough one. The clear part of this is not to call people names. I also avoid responding when feeling anger at a poster when their anger is not an attack of me- or of another.

ParticipantWhat prompted this Anita? Hopefully not one of my immature posts? 🙂
I might be accused of self-promotion and borderline spamming by starting so many threads.
Hope I’m not annoying you anyway.November 20, 2015 at 5:40 pm #87999Anonymous
GuestDear Jack:
No, you had nothing to do with it. Someone posted this morning about etiquette regarding posting here, not you. I wrote to her that it is a good title for a new thread. When I clicked “forums” looking for the appropriate category, the last one I believe is the one I copied and pasted here.
So, no dear Jack, you did not prompt anything unpleasant for me. Always a pleasure to see you here!!!
