    Dear Phil:

    Jon Kabat-Zinn is the creator of the Stress Reduction Program- it is a mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) program which is offered by medical centers, hospitals, and health maintenance organizations, and is described in his book Full Catastrophe Living: using the wisdom of your body and mind to face stress, pain, and illness.

    You can read about this man and his program in reputable online sources and download/ audios of his meditation series. I listened to one or more years ago and I was impressed and intrigued. His program has a good reputation within the American medical community, as far as I know. You may want to look into it.
