    I am amazed at your wisdom to evaluate the situation peacefully and objectively. I have been in a similar situation, I wish I had your maturity back then. You will do fine, you will find a way out of it, and come out stronger.

    You have a practical problem to solve – how would you support yourself and your sister, considering you are still a minor. Talk to a social worker in your area. There is help out there, you just need to ask for it.

    Dear Daisy:

    It is harmful for you and for your sister to live with an abusive parent. Since neither parent is a safe place for the two of you, and since you have awareness of children’s need for a stable environment (“neither of my parents are able to provide me with a stable environment”), can you approach your school teacher, a counselor and ask that they connect you to a government agency so to hopefully find you and your sister a stable environment?
