    Dear Faith,

I too suffer from anxiety, but unfortunately have not learnt to manage it as it sounds like you’re doing. Try to remember that you have gotten on top of your anxiety through support and counselling and this has made you a stronger person. You have the resources to manage anxiety should it resurface, a wealth of skills and support that you have learnt over the years. It sounds like perhaps you need to talk to your husband about your concerns and tell him you need more support.

I really empathize with your health concerns. My mother has struggled with her health for years, and no medical practitioner has been able to address it. It is very frustrating and demoralizing for her. However, she has a loving and supportive partner, and does her best to take care of herself despite a stressful job and taking care of me. I am very proud of her and I hope one day, like you, she will be able to address her health problems. In the meantime, it is important that you look after yourself as best you can and just hope that you will soon receive some clarity.

I don’t know if I’ve been much help, but you sound like you’re struggling and I wanted to reach out. My grandmother once sent me a card that resonates with me constantly:
    You are strong
    You are brave
    You are worthy
    Know this today.

    Hope this helps.

    Many good wishes,

    Ramelle

    Dear Faith:

Anxiety is a very difficult condition to live with. Fear latches on to this and that and stays there for a while, then looks for another nest. The nest your fear found, since July, is your medical condition. It is not new anxiety, just a new nest your anxiety occupies. Whatever you did in the past that helped you, do it now.

Is your relationship with your husband in trouble?
