    Dear Melinda:

You described an unjust situation at work: you and the co workers you mentioned are paid the same, yet your work load is double or so. The supervisor doesn’t perform her job (and is probably gets paid more than you). Unjust and unfair.

At the end of your post, you wrote that you read all those books and you: “can’t understand the purpose of this situation and what I need to do to get out of it.  To what end?  I know my life is happening for me not against me but seriously this is slowly killing me.” “To what end” is also the title of your thread.

My answer: there is no purpose to this situation and your life is not happening with your welfare in mind: there is no godly manager that created this particular injustice for you personally for your own good. Looking for that good is not congruent with reality, I believe.

Injustice is what happens in life, a whole lot, everywhere. Unfortunate but real. It happens because of ignorance, laziness, ill intent, aggressiveness, and so on.

You tried to solve this injustice by approaching the manager and you did well. Unfortunately, as you described, she is not very involved and is less than competent. What do you do next?

What I want to do is not even participate with this production but avoiding it leaves me where I am.  I am afraid of approaching her about it because if she was going to address my concern appropriately I would have to ask her…she would have approached me to say how it was going to be handled.  Also afraid of her telling me she isn’t going to to any more than what she has done.  I want nothing more than to find a new job but my attempts have all been “no”.  Which is why I don’t understand why I am stuck in the situation I am in….I have had two intuitive readings and both have said you can get new jobs your not stuck….if this isn’t stuck I don’t know what is.  If this job is of no consequence why has nothing else come to fruition?

    Dear Melinda:

Your own intuition is more accurate than the intuition of the people who gave you the two intuitive readings. Like you wrote, you are indeed stuck. You are stuck because your efforts to find a new job did not succeed and because the manager didn’t correct the unjust situation. And because you are afraid to ask her again.

You wrote that “this job is of no consequence”- what do you mean by that?
