    Dear Gregory Earle:

    The options you came up with:

    1. Experience love temporarily and suffer.

    2. Learn to be alone and avoid that suffering.

    My thinking: we live temporarily, therefore everything we experience is temporary. Suffering is a fact of life, but lots of it is preventable, avoidable. Therefore I would add another option:

    3. Choose the next woman wisely, settle down in one place, extend the loving relationship for a lifetime, and live wisely when alone and when with company.
